Hello! It’s been a long time since I did a free download and the last one was on the excellent English Wedding Blog. So to right this wrong I’ve done a luggage tag pdf in summer colours from the pantone spring/summer 2014 colour report (ok they say color but we know what they mean;)). What’s good about a luggage tag? Well they work well with favours or as alternatives to place cards and I don’t see why they couldn’t be used as Save the Dates either.

Find the other one…..

The post on English Wedding Blog also had the same luggage tag design but in pastel tones that I think worked well in winter or spring.  You can visit them here:  http://english-wedding.com/2014/01/wedding-luggage-tags-free-download/  where this is also a very handy pictures of how they can look when you let someone with good hand writing or calligraphy skills loose on them.

So what do I do?

Well Step 1, download or save the file here Luggage tag summer heart download.  Either right click and save (Mac users not sure what you’ll need to do) or click the link which should open the pdf and hit save. Step 2, You can use the file in one of two ways.  Either print it as it is and write on what you need.  Or there are text boxes which if you look at the image on this page you can see their location.  They’re set to use the Alex Brush font, an excellent script font with a little bit of retro vibe which can be freely obtained here http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/alex-brush.  The text size will decrease if you have more to fit in but it’s ideally set to use for first names or maybe whole names which aren’t too long.  If you’re putting in names then you can also save the files if you’re unable to print then and there. Step 3, once printed it’s time to cut.  Of course you can use scissors but if you have access to a rotary trimmer I highly recommend that.  While a craft knife with cutting board and metal rule works well if you know what you’re doing. Step 4, there are ways around it but if you’re using with ribbon you’ll probably want to use a hole punch to put a hole in the pointy end.
